Ana Paula Berberian

Wood Sculptor

Ana Paula Berberian has been a wood sculptor since 2010. At 45 years old, after meeting the Pernambuco sculptor Espedito Rocha, she began her journey with hollowed sculptures. With no prior experience in artistic production, she learned to sculpt from the inside out through dialogues with her Master and through working with various woods and tools. The creation process of her pieces reveals how voids and authorship intertwine, materializing the movements of the wood, nature, the sculptor, and life.
